Happy New Year! I wanted to start 2022 with a new blog post about the changes that have been happening behind the scenes at Pinwheel Strategic Marketing. There have been some significant updates to our service offerings, and I wanted to share what we have updated and why we made this decision.
What Has Been Happening on Pinterest?
I will be honest, Pinterest has been difficult for the last 18 months. At the start of the pandemic, usage skyrocketed (yay), but then it seemed all the best practices for Pinterest marketing started to change. Clients getting 75%+ of website traffic from Pinterest saw drastic drops. While we expect fluctuations in traffic, it was extreme and sudden.
There have been some promising changes in the past few months with the focus on idea pins (tons of impressions), and our clients have seen their numbers creep back up. During all of this upheaval on Pinterest, we learned a few things:
- The content you promote on Pinterest MUST be of the highest quality to get the Pinterest user to click through to your website or even watch your idea pin.
- Idea pins give a lot of impressions, but that does not immediately mean clicks to your website. Patience continues to be essential when measuring your Pinterest marketing efforts.
- Creating amazing content needs to be paired with SEO to get the best organic search results.
These lessons have led us to a total revamp of our services and how we help our clients with their content marketing.
How Have Our Services Changed?
While we still offer Pinterest management, that is now an add-on to our content marketing packages. Our packages are now based on strategy and carefully created content that lives on your website. Whether you are creating your content and we are optimizing it for search, or we are creating content that is optimized to attract your ideal clients, our goal is to get eyes on your website.
I invite you to check out our new services page and reach out if you have any questions!
